For one night only in Skjaergarrds Blues Festival in Smøla, British-Norwegian Krissy Matthews got together with Kare Amundsen on Drums and Trond Hansen on Bass. Instead of playing his usual Krissy Matthews Band repertoire of complicated and heavy blues rock, they decided to go out and just play the blues. It was a very magical, beautiful and special evening with great music. Krissy said on stage " I do not get to the play the blues anymore with my regular touring British band. It is my first love. Tonight we are going to play the blues with no bullshit but a little rock and roll. I am having such a great time and we will do this again!"  Krissy has decided to make a unique project exclusively for Norway. This is called "Krissy Matthews and the Viking Blues Band" (UK/N) and it will be a handful of Krissy's more bluesy songs but also the bands favourite blues covers featuring the incredible talents of Kare Amundsen on Drums and Trond Hansen on Bass. This is the NEWEST and HOTTEST BLUES BAND in town ready to tear the roof off any stage they will grace!!
